Public Service : Compensation for damages related to Phoenix for retirees
Published on:
For those formerly employed in the Federal Public Service, general damages related to Phoenix may be available.
To be eligible for compensation, the applicant must have worked at least one day in 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019 and/or 2019/2020. The process to submit a claim is available here: https://www.canada.ca/en/treasury-board-secretariat/topics/pay/phoenix-pay-system/phoenix/claim-damages-caused-phoenix-payment-equivalent-leave.html#toc01
Scroll down to the "former employees" section and select "Canadian Federal Pilots Association" as your bargaining agent. Once the bargaining agent is selected, the page will update with information specific to former members of the CFPA and describe both the eligibility criteria and the possible compensation. There are a lot of references to PSAC throughout the process, this is due to them being the lead bargaining agent for the 2019 Phoenix damages agreement to which the CFPA is a signatory; details here: https://www.canada.ca/en/treasury-board-secretariat/topics/pay/phoenix-pay-system/compensation-federal-employees-impacted-phoenix-pay-system.html
