CFPA Policy Statement on Qualifications
The issue of qualification requirements was raised with the CFPA Executive Board and they considered the issue on April 23, 2021 during their executive board meeting. The board decided to establish the following policy regarding qualifications affecting members in their employment:
The Canadian Federal Pilots Association (CFPA) supports employers in their perpetual obligation to ensure that all CFPA members employed by them are properly trained and qualified to carry out their duties. The CFPA agrees that full compliance with regulatory requirements and qualification standards is a fundamental necessity for members to do their work to maintain a safe aviation system for Canadians. The CFPA will faithfully advocate and promote compliance with these requirements and standards with its members and their employers.
